Effective October 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Words by Whitney Consulting, operated by Whitney Fagan ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this website or book a session with us.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: when you book a session or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, organization name, and anything you share about your nonprofit or grant plans.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe through our scheduling platform. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Automatic information: our hosting and scheduling providers may collect standard technical data, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to operate and secure their services.
- Browser storage: this website stores small preferences in your browser, such as whether you closed the announcement bar or the pop-up, so they are not shown again right away.
How we use your information
- To schedule, confirm, remind you about, and hold your session.
- To process payments and session credits.
- To send your session materials and written summary.
- To reply to your questions and, if you hire us, to deliver your project.
- To improve our website and services.
Text messages (SMS)
If you provide your phone number when booking, you agree to receive text messages from Words by Whitney Consulting about your appointment, such as confirmations and reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver messages on our behalf.
We send emails about your booking and your project. If we send marketing emails, every one will include a way to unsubscribe.
How we share information

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

How long we keep information
We keep booking and client records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, and then delete or anonymize them.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you messages, by emailing our business email. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under state law, and we will honor requests as required.
